Eat Outside the Box festival is a local community event centred around a unique amalgamation of creativity, food and culture in Bourne Hall in Ewell. As a team, we aim to provide the people of Surrey with a brand-new style of event, celebrating community cultures through immersive food experiences and activities; a food festival like you’ve never seen done before. Steering away from the traditional, street-food stalls and busy beverage bars are not at the forefront of our creative vision. Instead, we value the togetherness of the local borough and plan to connect people of all walks of life with our activities. Creative demonstrations, workshops and interactive games will span the day, targeted towards a vast range of attendees, as well as performances from local rising music artists and educational foodie speakers. As part of the interconnectivity of our event, we hope to inspire our festivalgoers to embrace all showcased cultures that are vital to keeping our local community cogs turning. Think outside the box. Eat Outside the Box. 

 

 What to expect on the day: 

• 11am-1pm: Kids activities: Paper fortune cookie making, face painting, colouring and pasta necklace making. 🎨🖍️

• 12-12:30pm: Chopsticks workshop for children and adults 🥢

•1pm-1:30pm: A performance from Alys Frankie 🎤

• 2pm-2:30pm: A talk from artist Milly Aburrow 👩‍🎨

• 2:30-3pm: A Dance Performance from Maddy 💃

​

• 3.30pm-4pm: A performance from Molly Chadwick🎤

​

4:15pm-4:45pm: Ukrainian Choir Performance 🎤

• Live sculpture making from Prudence! (all day) 👩‍🎨

• DJ KOFZ (all day) 🎧

• Thai Street Food and Malaysian Cuisine (all day) 🥡🥘
