Interview With Lucy Buckland, Arts, Culture and Heritage Programme officer.

Lucy Buckland from Epsom and Ewell County Council joined students of The Wave Agency today, as The Arts, Culture and Heritage Programme Officer. We asked her a few questions regarding her thoughts on our future plans for the festival.

Q: What do you think will make this festival a success?

A: “Attendance, revenue, will we achieve our own objectives? Will we enjoy the process? Will it be profitable, and community based?”

Q: How do you think our festival will benefit the community?

A: “Potential to be successful in terms of brand awareness for us and the council. A community boost, also considering the risks and expectations, can we achieve what we have set for ourselves?”

Q: How can we involve the community in our process?

A: “Get out there and talk to the community, create polls use technology. Sit down talks, consider cost which is a big factor for inclusivity, and dates and times. Master classes and taster sessions.”
