In October 2023, UCA’s The Wave agency is launching its first festival program. Making the most of our global community and connections, Wave Fest’s Eat Outside the Box theme aims to create a unique festival exploring the intersection of food, culture, and creative practice.
Want to get involved? We are looking for people who are inspired and want to showcase their unique talents, and who think outside the box when it comes to food and culture. We want to explore every nook and cranny of the cultures hidden throughout Epsom and create a safe space to explore and educate everyone.
The main theme of the festival is food and culture, so we are looking for local chefs, performers, and activities that aim to bring food and culture together into hands-on interactive activities. Whether it be catered towards adults or children we are looking for anyone with an innovative idea. We know that food brings everyone together, so we ask that you think outside the box, so we can all eat outside the box!

Talent
Want to perform at the very first wave fest? We are looking for talent of all sorts from singer-songwriters to spoken word to dance performances! Keen to integrate food, culinary stories, or food themes within your practice? Whatever you’d like to showcase we’re eager to chat with you.
Activities/Adult Workshops/Panels
Have an activity that you would like to share with the city of Epsom? Whether it be children's dance classes, a class on cultural practice, or even a game you want to show other people, We are looking for you. All we ask is that you tell us how food/food culture is integral to your idea.
Chefs
Do you specialize in a certain expertise of food from around the world and want to put on a masterclass to teach others your craft? We are looking for individuals who are willing to share their knowledge with others and participate in creating an exceptional interactive experience for attendees.
